This intensive class will introduce drill, point, lathe (copper, stone and diamond wheel) and sandblasting engraving techniques on glass. Focusing on a different technique each day, students will learn to produce a wide range of textures, abstract and/or figurative designs, lightly or vigorously cut.

15 – 26 September 2025

Over the course of several days, you’ll engage in extensive glassblowing and engraving practices. Prepare patterns and finish graal blanks, setting the stage for the next day’s work. This time will also allow for in-depth  exploration of the technique, ensuring you’re ready to progress to the next level. You will also have the chance to experiment with aerial effects using sandblasting, adding a new dimension to your glass creations.

20-27 september 2025

In this course, we explore how engraving techniques can transform glass surfaces. Using tools like the engraving lathe, flexible and rigid shafts, and sandblasting, we work on both flat glass and blown forms. Inspired by the changing seasons from summer to autumn, we experiment with textures, patterns, and the expressive potential of each method to capture the magic of nature’s transition.
