“Und wenn sie nicht gestorben ist… Glasgravur! …and they engrave happily ever after!”
29 artists from 11 countries interpret the theme “fairy tales” in a wide variety of ways and also allude to stories from their own cultural backgrounds. The abundant range of individual narrative and interpretation reflects the rich possibilities that only the glass engraver inhabits. Each participating artist demonstrates how up to date this ancient art remains and that the title of the exhibition reflects their lifelong vocation and passion.

GRAVUR on Tour
Glass engraving made its way across Europe.
Through their work, 31 artists visited seven museums in seven EU countries. They represent the diversity of contemporary glass engraving both artistically and technically. This ranges from experimental work to those relating to traditional, classic glass engraving. Other works bridge the gap between glass engraving and glass cutting.
